Is a vaporizer with Vicks inhalant safe for a 3 month old that weighs 13 lbs 10 oz?

I never recommend it: Any pungent odor or fume can cause increasing congestion in an infant. I equate Vicks to cigarette smoke in young infants. It has little if any value at any age and never before age 3-6yrs. This is a throwback to the sweat lodges of the indians and should be abandoned along with leaches. ...Read more

I was told by an ENT to use budesinide inhalant along with saline solution, 3ml of buedonsise and 2 mil water into my nasal each on one for 4 min with?

Complaint?: You don't tell us what your complaint is. But if you saw an ENT doctor, he is treating you for either allergic rhinitis, non-allergic rhinitis, or possibly sinusitis. I would not recommend the use of water for 2 reasons. It may dilute the concentration of the budesonide, a topical steroid. Also i would advise Normal Saline (salt rather than water but only 30 minutes before or after the drug. ...Read more
