Inguinal Hernias Causing Kidney Stones
What is the treatment for severe groin pain while walking generated by a hip joint (not a hernia, not kidney stone)?
A hernia is a hole in the abdominal wall thru which the inner lining protrudes thru, creating a sac. Many hernias develop during fetal life and become evident in childhood or as an adult. Some develop following a prior abdominal operation. The cornerstone ...Read more

I have a 1cm hiatal hernia and it is casing me a ton of pain also my sides hurt due to kidney stones..shld I go to the hospital?
Depends on the pain: The ED cannot do much for the hiatal hernia other than treat any heartburn pain - probably a GI cocktail to neutralize the acid. Often kidney stones are treated consevatively for up to 72 hours with forced fluid intake and oral pain meds. Go to ED if pain severe. ...Read more
L teste pain radiates to llq. Had CT r/o kidney stones. Would that have seen a hernia if i had one? Or would i need a different test?
I have pcos, a large hiatus hernia, keep getting utis & kidney stones. I feel like the doctors think i'm annoying them. I go at least once a fortnight?
My sympathies: Problems with kidney stones and utis should be both treatable and further stones and utis preventable. Hiatal hernia and pcos should both respond to medical therapy. Hopefully your primary care dr. Is part of a group so you can receive comprehensive care. However, your doctors should not feel annoyed if you have genuine problems requiring treatment. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Not likely.: Kidney stones may indeed be present for months before passing and may produce intermittent pain which is usually felt in the flank when the stone is retained in the kidney or in the anterior abdomen when the stone is retained in the bladder. Stones in the ureter cause pain which radiates into the groin but stones don't hang out there forever. Search for another cause of your pain. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Remember: Life is a changing, adjusting process of constant struggle to cope with reality, certainty, & uncertainty for survival. ...Read more
