Ingrown Hair Deep Under Skin
Ingrown hair in the bikini line area that keeps coming back. And sometimes leaves an open deep hole in skin. 1/16 diameter oozes from time.
Infected cyst?: Sounds like an infected cyst. Speak to your doctor. You may need to see a surgeon to have it drained surgically, and/or removed.See 1 more doctor answer
I have a tiny hard round shaped lump above groin muscle underneath the skin. It has slight pain when I wear tight clothes. Not ingrown hair it's deep?
See your PCP: You've described it so well, and now it's time to see your primary care physician, or gynecologist to identify what it is, and discuss your options. S/he may need to ultrasound it if it's large. If it's smaller, they will have a differential diagnoses of what it is to determine if it's cystic or lymphatic by location. I would refrain from wearing tight clothes/jean, until you determine what it is.
My boyfriend has three flap/pockets of skin holding black stuff, I thought it was an ingrown hair but the black stuff I got out and a hole remains?
Comedone: This is probably a comedone (blackhead) which is basically a skin pore clogged with dried oils. The hole usually means that the pore has been clogged for a long time. I would not advise squeezing this areas.
I have a sharp nagging pain in the back of my head. When I touch it, is that an ingrown hair? And how do I make it stop?
Gott see it.: Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, sometimes a quick look is all that is needed. Given the information we have, a quick look by someone with medical knowledge would be better.
I have a knot on the back right side of my head. First appeared to be like a ingrown hair. Mashed it and clear liquid came out.
Cyst: Simple cysts can appear when the fluid of a hair follicle becomes trapped. As the fluid builds up it creates a soft mass. Squeezing it can release the fluid. If it is foul odor then this may be a sebacous cyst. Cysts recur and can become infected. A simple procedure in your doctors office can remove it.See 1 more doctor answer
I have a tiny bump on my skin caused by ingrown hair and my skin has completely covered the hair. How do I remove it? The bump does not hurt.
Ingrown hair: I would leave it alone - if the bump starts to enlarge it will need to be removed along with the offending hair sometimes warm compresses help open these things
Yes, can grow very l: But usually irritating to skin, and usually results in a blocked oil gland. Will heal quickly after hair is liberated.
I tried to remove an ingrown hair but it never came out. It has healed and I have a bump under my skin (no pain). Will it become a cyst and grow?
What is the best thing to do with an ingrown hair after the hair is removed and there is a hard clump under the skin?
DoNotMicroDitch-Dig: I'd probably have a drink then go see"The Revenant, " but in your case I'd think about how it was removed & whether there's a "remenant" in there still growing or maybe an irritant like residual sebum or epidermal debris. But I wouldn't go digging at it. I'd wait a couple of weeks & if still there I'd have a drink, go see"The Revenant" than go see a dermatologist, thankful I'm not an 1830's fur trapper
Ingrown hair on my private area I can't squeeze it, what can I do to squeeze out puss if it doesn't have a head

Needs evaluation: It is impossible to tell you if this is normal or not in a virtual setting. You must see a MD to evaluate this spot if you are concerned, preferably a GYN.
I have a lump under my skin in my panty line area. About 2 months ago it appeared and I thought ingrown hair. Treated it as such. Not hurting anymore.

Plugged follicle: You may have a swollen gland, a blocked duct, or some temporary condition. A couple of hot baths may work to open up this little spot. Worst case scenario may be that you may need to see your fp and take a course of antibiotics for a folliculitis.
I have a bump small bump on my skin on my back. It's a little hard, like an old ingrown hair or something. No puss, not red, doesn't hurt. Should I worry about it?
Maybe: More likely this is a sebaceous cyst. These are not infected but can be removed if unsightly. Get checked out to be sure.
Neither: Skin tag (medical term is acrochordon) is a small benign tumor that forms primarily in areas where the skin forms creases, such as the neck, armpit, and groin. They may also occur on the face, usually on the eyelids. Acrochorda are harmless and typically painless, and do not grow or change over time.
A long time: The hair typically makes an arc and will not find its way to the surface. If it does not cause inflammation there is no way for it to exit the skin. Usually they must be extracted carefully.
Ingrown hair: You could pace a warm moist cloth over the incision and see if it will lift out. If not you should see your doctor
