Hurt: This could simply be bruising or it could be something more severe. I suggest that you have someone take you to the nearest Emergency facility as soon as possible. If it is a minor issue it be explained to you and mild treatment prescribed. If it turns out to be a more severe injury you are likely to be admitted to the hospital. NSAID: Not all anti inflammatory medicines are the same. Celebrex (celecoxib) (a cox-2 nsaid) has less GI side effects than Motrin and other nsaids. Naprelan is also an NSAID with less GI side effects. There are also NSAID patches (flector) and ointment preparations (voltaren gel) that i prescribe for patients with high blood pressure and/or GI ulcers/bleeds in which oral NSAID could be harmful. Unlikely: Such a cyst, if infected, can spread but not usually to the brain or spinal cord. Call your physician if there is spreading redness or increased pain at the cyst site. ...Read more
