Not if they function: If the adenomas are "cold" or do not function, then they are likely to be malignant. They do not show up on radionuclide scan because they do not function. Otherwise they are unlikely to be malignant. Biopsy and ?Xray-u/s: Blood test may not be able to tell much, but a biopsy can. You may need a chest xray (possibly a ct of chest/neck as well) and likelly a thyroid ultrasound (u/s).
