Probably not: "Typical" ear infections are usually in the middle ear or the external ear canal, and would not cause any growths near the earlobe. I have an enlarged lymph node behind ear. There was a near infection but dr concerned b/c very hard and immovable. Could this still be from infection?
Could be: It could be from the past infection, however, your doctor is correct in being concerned for a hard immobile node. It would be prudent to follow your doctor's advice. Could a lymph node behind ear be cancerous it feels hard when touched, i haven't got infection am feeling fine other than I have high prolactin levels?
It depends....: Enlarged nodes can be cancerous especially if they are painless and hard to feel. But a lot depends on the size of the lymph node.
