Probably infection: It's not necessary to get a tragus piercing to get infection there. It's a nice cozy warm spot where bacteria can lounge and, if there's an opening, they can set up housekeeping, causing a small abscess. Get it checked. If it's abscessed, it should be lanced to drain out the pus. Antibiotics might work if a more diffuse soft tissue infection. ...Read more

Chronic irritation: The tragus is composed of cartilage which gets it blood supply by diffusion. It is prone to an infection, and this could be an infection without purulent material. Constant irritation could make it look like a blood blister. It would be best to remove the piercing to get the tissue to heal. Clean the site with saline, apply antibiotic ointment every eight hours, and do not pierce until healed. ...Read more
