TB: No. It is not likely, although not impossible that a fetus could be infected with mycobacterium tuberculosis. Medication to treat hypothyroidism (thyroxine) will not cause reactivation of latent tb. You should be just fine. Make sure you tell your obstetrician that you are quantiferon positive but have been previously treated. ...Read more

Toxoplasma: Toxoplasma is a parasite that cats get through eating/hunting wild prey, it ends up in their stool and when pregnant women are cleaning up after their cats, they are susceptible. It's unlikely that you'd be infected with such a small exposure. Also transmission of toxoplasma is via ingestion, not vaginal. You're more likely to get it from eating raw meat or unwashed vegetables. ...Read more
