Unrelated: Boil on ear frequently from infected sebaceous cyst which should be treated with warm soaks and if necessary antibiotics. If resolving and cystic structure found then excision of cyst necessary to prevent recurrence. No way that lymph node in groin can be connected to ear. Size doesn't matter: It's common to find nodes up to 25 mm or even more on physical exam or autopsy. If your lymph nodes are not woody or tire-rubber hard, preposterously enlarged, or very stuck to the nearby structures, stop worrying about them.
