Baby should be fine: 3ml =45mg of Zantac (ranitidine) and it maybe a bit high for your baby, but should be fine. In adult, we often give double the dose for single-daily dose (i.e. 150 twice/day, or 300 once daily). You can skip the next dose and i would not expect any problem. See my previous answer about dosage of Zantac (ranitidine) for baby--a weight-base calculation. If you have additional concerns, consult doc. Good luck. ...Read more

My baby (8.5lbs) was rxed 3ml Zantac (ranitidine) 2x/day at 6 weeks. Is that too much? We have been on it for 10 days. I'm worried it'll cause kidney damage.
Reflux: I depends on the concentration of the medicine. Usually zantac (ranitidine) liquid is dispensed as 15 mg in 1 ml. If your baby weights 8.5 lbs, the dose should be more around 1 ml twice a day but you should check with your doctor to verify the correct dosing. If the baby is not getting better, you may want to visit a gastroenterologist (GI) specialist. ...Read more
