What causes a recurring swollen eye in an infant. No redness or discharge. Swelling usually goes down the same day and has happened 3 times in 4 weeks?
My 2 week old infant girl has red swollen eye lid and redness under the eye w tiny acne looking bumps. I don't know what to do please help?

Not sure about the age of your child. Glad that you caught her before she hit her head on the floor. Place an ice-pack over the affected area on the face. For children above the age 6 months you can give a dose of children's Motrin (ibuprofen) / Ibuprofen = this is an anti-inflammatory medicine and will be helpful for the enlarging bruise (also known as contusion).

Should be seen: Swelling of the eye can be a periorbital infection, less likely is eye allergy. Especially with only one eye involved and with swelling as you describe. Skin irritation: Focalized itching without rash is rarely due to underlying organ disease. I suspect skin irritation (sun coming through car window, the furry pillow, etc).
