Trigeminal neuralgia's med gabapine 400 is increasing stool frequency n upseting digestion. What to do to have relief from pain?
Is it normal for infants & toddlers to have greenish stool first after diarhea that turns into yellowish later on i.e it is a part of recovery.
Pretty common: The greenish color in stool is the breakdown product of the bile when it has not been in the gut long enough to go through a change to yellowish or brown. It is normal as is the loose consistency. Some digested material will take on a darker tint than others & the germs in the gut will also impact the final product. Normal: The stool color is provided by the bile from the liver that is adds to fecal debris. It starts out a deep green & slowly changes thru greens to yellows to browns as the germs in the intestines metabolize the bile.Green generally means the stool in question moved through faster or was subject to less change by gut germs. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

If formula fed, the pattern is more likely to be a few daily or at least every other day. If stools are soft & baby feeds well & plays, there is no reason to be concerned. If a poor feeder & not wetting diapers at least every 6 hours, i would have her checked. ...Read more
