Is it really gout?: If you have involvement of the base of the great toe then the diagnosis will almost always be gout. However, if this joint has never been involved then i would see a rheumatologist. A joint can be aspirated and evaluation of the joint fluid would determine if it is gout or some other form of arthritis. If this is gout, a short course of Prednisone works well. ...Read more

1-sided headache : Hemicrania = headache on one side; continua means prolonged/continuous pain.
