Indigestion After Eating Cashew Nuts
"Heartburn": Gastroesophageal reflux disease is a common cause of such symptoms ("heartburn"). If it's in the right side of your abdomen - it can also be due to gallbladder stones/other problems. What happens when you don't eat such foods? If improved, then avoid them. If you are having difficulty swallowing, black tarry stools, weight loss, or noticed any bleeding from your rectum- see a doctor immediately ...Read more
Flatulence nonstopAfter ate nuts see white pieces in stool.vomit after ate avocado&linseedoil.Smellystool fart.bad concentration&memory.dryskinhairlos?
Wow...lots of issues: I don't think we can really put all these things together into a common condition. There are clearly some gastrointestinal issues with the gas..not that concerned about white pieces after nuts or vomiting after linseed oil. Biggest cause of concentration and memory issues at your age is stress. Would check thyroid as under active gland could contribute to all. Work with your doctor. Good wishes:) ...Read more
Pretty good : Avocados have a very healthy fat that is great for the body and skin. Bananas are high in potassium and calm the brain with tryptophan. Peanut butter is ok, but get an organic brand with cashews instead. Do not forget to drink plenty of water and exercise. www.artofplasticsurgery.com ...Read more
Possible dairy allergy, diahorrea, stomach cramps and nausea after milk, yoghurt, cheese etc and stomach cramps after eating milk chocolate. ?
Hard to say: Hard to say as i suspect you ate several different things while at the restaurant. The fairly rapid onset could also mean food poisoning. And you might have just coincidentally been going to come down with something. I'm not sure i'd avoid avocado, although depending on the restaurant, you might not want to eat there again for awhile. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Perhaps, if dry...: There are many reasons for relative constipation. Have your md review your current medications for constipation as side effect. Fiber (with enough water) very helpful, and you need to titrate up to full doses or you will get gassy. A healthy, fiber filled diet always good, and don't forget to drink more water. Regular exercise also excellent for getting those bowels moving. ...Read more
Unlikely: Salted nuts of any kind can increase your caloric intake and contribute to salt retention which is an underpinning of high blood pressure. Your natural mechanisms to keep salt and water balance will keep you from getting "waterlogged" unless you have kidney disease. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Allergic: This is an anaphylactic reaction and from now on you must avoid the seafood which caused the problem and carry an Epinephrine pack (2 syringes) with you in case of accidental exposure. Do note that seafood allergy is usually specific to that seafood (however shrimp allergy often means crab ; lobster allergy as well). If mixed seafood was the cause, you need to consult an allergist. ...Read more
Common issue...: Please refer to the excellent, already posted, healthtap answers regarding diagnostic differential and treatment of dyspepsia/indigestion. Diet certainly plays a role in "stomach upset" as you imply. Moderate intake of spicy, greasy food, mints, alcohol, tobacco, caffeinated products, salicylates. ...Read more
Is 1 avacodo, handful almonds, sunflower seeds, walnuts, spinach leaves, tomatoe and onion a healthy lunch?
Sulfur burps: I can't diagnose the cause for your sulfer burps/ taste. However possible cause include infections with giardia lamblia or helicobacter pylori. Any prescription medications that you take which contain sulfer can have a similar effect. If your stomach empties slowly then foods high in protein can create hydrogen sulfide. ...Read more
I get mild to severe stomach pain after eating yogurt, and most fruits, eg, apples, grapes, watermelon. I'm not lactose intolerant, other dairy is ok.
I eat daily lot good healthy food: raw almond, seed, Walnut, Pecan Pistachio, Brazil nut, & olive oil. This adds up to 15+grams sat fat. Any Concerns?
NO unless...: While it's long been recommended that people minimize saturated fat, recent research suggests there's no benefit to limiting saturated fat (especially when it comes from the healthy foods you are eating) unless you have Familial Hypercholesterolemia or ApoE4. See http://authoritynutrition.com/saturated-fat-good-or-bad/ for a very well-written discussion of saturated fat and the current science. ...Read more
I am allergic to chicken, pork, beef, clam, egg, soy, barley, oat, cashew, brazil nut, and english walnut. Could I have a protein intolerance?
What kind of allergy: Prick, blood tests not very accurate re: food allergies. Neg tests exclude an immune reaction (true allergy), but pos tests have less value. Best test is a double-blind food challenge (neither tester nor pt know which is which, until code is cracked at end of test); cumbersome. This excludes about 90% of "allergies". Other blood tests can be used, not "live-cell"-bogus, no "applied kinesiology". ...Read moreSee 5 more doctor answers
