Call your doctor: If you had a nerve test done for hand numbness, like carpal tunnel, and you are now worse than before the test you should call your doctor. Sometimes the nerve test will seemingly make things worse for a few days after the test. If the needle part of the nerve test was done it is possible that you have an infection although that is extremely rare. Ice , advil or aleve (naproxen). If not better call doc. ...Read more

Possible Infection: A finger that is swollen and numb should be urgently evaluated in-person by a clinician for evidence of infection. An infected finger would typically present as warm and swollen, and because of increased pressure from the swelling, possibly have less sensation. Infrection or Trauma: If the problem has been there for seven days i would advise having it looked at by a physcian. Trauma , infection are possible and without knowing anything that caused this you would worry about compromise of blood flow it should be seen abd possibly xrayed to get the proper treatment. ...Read more

Get seen...: You need to be evaluated to check for a possible infection after a possible insect bite. Redness and pain is an indicator of infection and/or inflammation.
