Yellow/Brown vaginal discharge with odor during pregnancy is that normal, could it be from my progesterone suppesitory?

Possible BV: You may have an infection like bacterial vaginosis. It is treated with a vaginal gel or pull and is one of the most common causes of vaginal discharge with odor. You should see your doctor and have them examine you and treat you if needed especially since you are pregnant. Sometimes infections that are untreated can increase your risk for preterm delivery. ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Overdue. Low pelvic pressure, contractions, no real pain but baby is less active and green vaginal discharge?

Most likely, an infection could be present (e.g. Bv); could even be normal. Another more significant possibility is rom (rupture of membranes) with meconium (baby's bowel movement). ...Read more

I have been having pelvic pain with vaginal discharge thats thick and gooy with a sweet smell... Pressing on my pelvic area hurts aswell... Any ideas?

A little unusual: That description of the discharge is a little unusual, but my first concern would be for a possible sexually transmitted infection. Chlamydia, and especially gonorrhea can cause a lot of discharge. The vaginitis conditions can sometimes cause pelvic pain as well (yeast infections or bacterial vaginosis), but not typically. ...Read more

I am experiencing pimples, cramping pelvic pain, abnormal vaginal discharge (quality: itchy, cheesy) and rash on chest.

I am experiencing pimples, cramping pelvic pain, abnormal vaginal discharge (quality: itchy, cheesy) and rash on chest.

Various symptoms: I don't feel that these varied symptoms are related to one disease process. Your vaginal discharge may be a vaginal infection. Pimples and chest rash are nonspecific. I recommend an examination by a gynecologist in view of your pelvic discomfort and probable vaginal infection. A dermatologist can evaluate your chest rash if it persists. ...Read more

I have painful urination, pelvic pain, abnormal vaginal discharge for over 6 weeks. STDs neg and cultures normal. Treated for BV and yeast. What now?

Further Evaluation: It is important to make sure you have had a complete panel of cultures, which would include ureaplasm and mycoplasm. These are not on most standard panels, so your doctor has to specifically culture them. Another possibility could be Interstitial Cystitis which is also known as painful bladder syndrome. This condition can cause pelvic pain and painful urination as well. Revisit your doctor. ...Read more

I have milky slightly yellow and sour smelling vaginal discharge. I have has pelvic exams/swabs and pregnancy tests done all negative. What could itbe?

Vaginal pH: The natural vaginal ph is acidic and so it is expected for its normal secretions to be sour. However, copious yellow discharge is likely abnormal but i don't know how to counsel you unless i know exactly what you'd been tested for. Gonorrhea, chlamydia, bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas, and yeast are all things you should've been tested for; please verify. ...Read more

It's my 1st time to experience few bleeding & severe pelvic pain after sex. before that is abnormal vaginal discharge. what may be the problem?

Check with your doc: There are lots of reasons someone might have pain after sex. If the pain is in the vagina, make sure you are well lubricated prior to intercourse, either naturally or with a water based lubricant. If the pain is deeper in the pelvis it is a more complex issue that you will have to work through with your physician. Bleeding after sex may indicate an infection as well, so see a doctor to check. ...Read more
