What did your OB: Say, obviously u need an elective cerclage placed before the cervix dilates and you may need other meds like Progesterone and possibly others to help keep the pregnancy from ending early, please discuss with your obgyn or an infertility specialist, u need a very comprehensive workup before u try to conceive again. ...Read more

Possible: If you are having unprotected sex you certainly can be pregnant. If you take a pregnancy test in a week or 2 you should have the answer. You certainly would be at risk for another miscarriage if you have an incompetent cervix. You should consult with a high risk OB and be considered for placement of a cerclage (a suture around the cervix) for your next pregnancy. ...Read more

YOUR OB should: Ahae discussed all of that with you like I do with all my pts, it should not affect your ability to get pregnant but once u are pregnant and it is a viable pregnancy then u will need to get a cerclage before 20 weeks, it needs to be put in before your cx dilates. ...Read more
