Leave it alone!: Try to not itch the area, especially for the next few days as the wound heals. You could try taking some Benedryl. Sometimes scratching around the surgical area but not on the surgical area helps too. Call your doctor before putting any kind of cream or lotion on it. ...Read more

No, unless can't pee: Hopefully this is a small epidermal inclusion cyst which can easily be removed at your convenience, unless your son complains of pain or difficulty urinating.
