Feedback: Keep telling her that biting isn't nice and offer her words to express her needs instead of biting. If you (and her other caregivers) are consistent, biting should quickly give way to more acceptable behavior. Also, if you ever "play bite" with her, stop now, as it makes her feel that biting is ok in some circumstances, when it really is not. Good luck! ...Read more

No direct link: Infants who fall asleep while either breast feeding and/or bottle feeding are both more prone to tooth decay as they don't swallow the last of thy milk or formula and it sits around their teeth all night causing decay. Bottles tend to be worse as the baby does not have to actively suck for liquid to keep dripping into their mouths. Either method used improperly will cause decay. ...Read more

Yes: Bacteria can turn mother's milk into acid byproducts just a easily as anything else. Limit your child's breast feeding to when they are hungry. Clean their teeth and gums with a damp gauze and/or infant tooth brush after each feeding. If they have teeth it is time to make an appointment with a pediatric dentist. ...Read more
