Elevated ammonia: will need to be brought down to below 76 (1.5 x upper limit of normal) This can be achieved with lactulose and neomycin or similar treatment. Recovery of consciousness will hopefully occur soon. Varies: When a ligament is reconstructed, the rehab time is longer because the repair needs to be protected. Rehab time depends on your age and level of fitness prior to surgery, and also on your surgeon and the type of reconstruction. I would say no driving for at least 6 weeks.
