If : If you had severe cts you may find that while your sensation improved you lost muscle tiissue. This is a common complaint as once the muscle tissue is lost from carpal tunnel it may not return or return only partially. While sensation may also subjectivley improve, in sever cases there may be incomplete returtn and small object are still dififcult. One measure of the ability to discern small objects is called two point discrimination and your may still be elveated despite being better than before the surgery. Other issues suchas arthritis, trigger fingers, tenindonitis can affectyour hands too and too often people think that it is all due to cts and will all go away with surgery .
