What effect can endometriosis have on implantation after a frozen embryo transfer? Last lap. To remove endo was 12 months ago.

Unlikely: Endometriosis means endometrial tissue outside the normal place (uterus). The implantation is within the uterus where endometrium is supposed to exist. If the endometriosis causes hormonal imbalance that could affect your implantation indirectly, but it is best to ask your ob/gyn. ...Read more

Embryo Transfer (Definition)

Embryo transfer (also et, set. Fet, etc) refers to placing one or more human embryo (s) (multi-cell or blastocyst) into the uterus of a woman trying to become pregnant. Et is the final step in an ivf cycle, and is done in some other circumstances as well. It is extremely safe, mostly comfortable, and usually not technically difficult. Experts agree on its importance, but ...Read more

Could I have implantation bleeding at 6 days post embryo transfer?

Possibly: Bleeding post transfer can be caused by a friable, or cervix that's bleed easy, a small bleed behind the gestational sac, following intercourse, the loss of a twin and/or signs of an early miscarriage or a difficult et. What is the range of E2 and P4 levels to assure "best probability" of implantation? Day before embryo transfer E2 was 182.2 and P4 was 35.9.

What is the range of E2 and P4 levels to assure "best probability" of implantation? Day before embryo transfer E2 was 182.2 and P4 was 35.9.

Normal: For progesterone the "range" is not so important as being above a certain level (no one is sure what that is tho!) Most docs would say 35.9 is plenty. You don't say whether frozen-or-fresh transfer, so the numbers can differ, but for a frozen (?) transfer anything between about 150-400 would be considered good. Ask your own doc for more specific answers about the plan, and good luck! ...Read more

3day embryo transfer when does implantation take place? When does the bloating stop and the swelling breast? My et was 13/4/13 and 2 embryo. 10q

Embryo transfer: Implantation takes place within 48 - 72 hours of the transfer but you won't detect any pregnancy hormones until 7 - 12 days after the transfer. In a fresh ivf cycle, the bloating and swelling may relate to the size of your ovaries. The Progesterone may cause the breast swelling. Still, follow your doctor's recommendations and do not stop any support until instructed by your doctor. ...Read more
