I'm currently 4 days past my two day 5AA embryo transfer and I feel no symptoms, shouldn't implantation have happened by now? Did my transfer fail?

I'm currently 4 days past my two day 5AA embryo transfer and I feel no symptoms, shouldn't implantation have happened by now? Did my transfer fail?

Embryo transfer: Not every viable embryo when transferred does in fact attach to the wall of the womb, and at "4 days past" transfer, there would be no "symptoms" of implantation yet. If you wait another week to ten days, and get serum HCG test, it will tell you if a viable pregnancy is present. ...Read more

Embryo Transfer (Definition)

Embryo transfer (also et, set. Fet, etc) refers to placing one or more human embryo (s) (multi-cell or blastocyst) into the uterus of a woman trying to become pregnant. Et is the final step in an ivf cycle, and is done in some other circumstances as well. It is extremely safe, mostly comfortable, and usually not technically difficult. Experts agree on its importance, but ...Read more

What is the range of E2 and P4 levels to assure "best probability" of implantation? Day before embryo transfer E2 was 182.2 and P4 was 35.9.

What is the range of E2 and P4 levels to assure "best probability" of implantation? Day before embryo transfer E2 was 182.2 and P4 was 35.9.

Normal: For progesterone the "range" is not so important as being above a certain level (no one is sure what that is tho!) Most docs would say 35.9 is plenty. You don't say whether frozen-or-fresh transfer, so the numbers can differ, but for a frozen (?) transfer anything between about 150-400 would be considered good. Ask your own doc for more specific answers about the plan, and good luck! ...Read more

I am day 10 of an frozen embryo transfer I have cramping on my lower left side in the same spot could this be implantation cramps?

Doubtful: Implantation occurs 6-7 days after fertilization so with an FET this would've been 5 or more days ago. I am not saying you may not be pregnant, but implantation isn't happening 10 days after fet. Good luck. ...Read more

Could I have implantation bleeding at 6 days post embryo transfer?

Could I have implantation bleeding at 6 days post embryo transfer?

Possibly: Bleeding post transfer can be caused by a friable, or cervix that's bleed easy, a small bleed behind the gestational sac, following intercourse, the loss of a twin and/or signs of an early miscarriage or a difficult et. If you have any bleeding, contact your doctor immediately. And remember, it may not be a bad sign. Probably would consider starting Progesterone to help quiet the uterus. ...Read more

What effect can endometriosis have on implantation after a frozen embryo transfer? Last lap. To remove endo was 12 months ago.

What effect can endometriosis have on implantation after a frozen embryo transfer? Last lap. To remove endo was 12 months ago.

Unlikely: Endometriosis means endometrial tissue outside the normal place (uterus). The implantation is within the uterus where endometrium is supposed to exist. If the endometriosis causes hormonal imbalance that could affect your implantation indirectly, but it is best to ask your ob/gyn. ...Read more

Had my embryo transfer on 24 march, today having backache and feeling tired is it normal? And are symptoms of embryo implantation?

Normal: This is normal, of course; no signs there of anything to be worried about as far as bad things happening. And, yes, it could be signs of implantation, but no guarantees--vague symptoms are hard to pin down, since they're vague. Will cross my fingers for you, though. ...Read more

3day embryo transfer when does implantation take place? When does the bloating stop and the swelling breast? My et was 13/4/13 and 2 embryo. 10q

Embryo transfer: Implantation takes place within 48 - 72 hours of the transfer but you won't detect any pregnancy hormones until 7 - 12 days after the transfer. In a fresh ivf cycle, the bloating and swelling may relate to the size of your ovaries. The Progesterone may cause the breast swelling. Still, follow your doctor's recommendations and do not stop any support until instructed by your doctor. ...Read more

I had 2 embryo transfer an 13/4/13 when is implantation going to take a place? I smoked the day I had et will it kill my chance of getting pregnant?

Embryo transfer: You didn't mention the development of the embryo (day 3 or day 5). We presume implantation takes place within 48 - 72 hours of the transfer but you won't detect any pregnancy hormones until 7 - 12 days after the transfer. Smoking anytime while trying to get pregnant and after a transfer isn't good and may cause contractions of the uterus or tubes. Still, embryo quality beats all. ...Read more

Please clarify: Do you mean construction like at a construction site? And no, jarring of your body is not going to cause an embryo to "fall out" or impact implantation as you describe. And I do not know what you mean by "straggling with string". Please clarify and you will definitely get a better answer. ...Read more

Hi, I had day 5 embryo transfer today past 8 days but no any symptoms beside bad constipation because of it striend now I'm afraid I hurt my embryos?

Constipation: The release of Progesterone that occurs after your egg retrieval can be pretty dramatic, slow your bowels, and cause constipation. However 8 days following an embryo transfer, I would not expect constipation to have an effect on your embryos. Your embryos should be secure in the uterus at this point and you should be worrying more about your clogged poops. Take a laxative and stool softeners. ...Read more
