Hard to say: An implanon is good for 3 years. Did you not have a period for 1 year after its' removal? If so, the uterine lining was growing a some rate for that time and, after the provera, (medroxyprogesterone) it should all bleed off. That can be heavy and can vary in lenght. You can start fertiaid at any point since it is an herbal preparation that has no hormones. It would be advisable to start prenatal vitamins now. ...Read more

Yes: Implanon/nexplanon uses a single rod instead of 6 and is highly efective contraception for 3 years instead of 5. Otherwise the side effects are about the same as norplant (levonorgestrel). It is easier to insert and usually easier to remove. ...Read more

Migraine & The Pill: Hemiplegic migraine or migraine with aura are contraindications to so-called combined contraception. That is - estrogen may make these conditions worse and lead to risk of stroke.
