Had CT w/o cont of kidneys to check for stones and only ovarian cyst was found.Wld CT such as that also have shown organs such as my colon/intestines?
I have a complex ovarian cyst with septations and debris about 14ml in volume. It was 7ml 3 months ago. It's now pressing against my colon. Treatment?

Recently had a CT scan is it possible for a remarkably thickened sigmoid colon, bulky uterus, and ovarian cyst over 5cm to be related? Concerned
Guessing: This is hard to call form just a description of CT, not knowing any other clinical facts. Can say: 1) the bulky uterus is 100% unrelated to the other findings, the thickened sigmoid "may" be related to the ovarian cyst or vice-versa. I have two ovarian cyst that have ruptured and caused stomach infections. Would it have an impact on my fertility and future pregnancy?
It might: Depends on cause, treatment (surgery?), etc. Maybe tests already were done or planned to evaluate for fallopian tube damage (laparoscopy, ultrasound, etc). Discuss with your gynecolgist and/or infertility specialist. Ask if "infected ovarian cyst" was a euphemism for pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or tubo-ovarian abscess, which may cause more tube damage than simple infected cysts. Good luck! ...Read more
