When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Should be okay.: While you are pregnant, you should avoid eating anything that could potentially be contaminated with bacteria. This includes raw or undercooked meat, shellfish, and eggs; also avoid unpasteurized milk or cheese. Spinach and artichoke dip should be okay as long as it has been prepared properly.See 1 more doctor answer

I had C-peptid at top of range before pregnant.I lowered it by excluding sugar and wheat from diet.now i'm pregnant.can I eat sugar food?will it harm?
Stay away: I recommend stay away from pure sugar drinks, foods and processed flours, cakes and desserts high in sugar. It sounds as if you are on the border of insulin resistance and eating the sugar foods will make it worse. Have your c peptide checked again and try to stay away from simple sugar.See 1 more doctor answer
Mushrooms: I have not read anything about mushrooms being unsafe, but make sure that they are washed very well prior to eating.
Sushi & pregnanc: Sushi should be avoided during pregnancy for two reasons. (1) risk of bacterial infection complicating the pregnancy. (2) risk of exposure to mercury complicating the pregnancy. Certainly not worth the risk during pregnancy. Cooked sushi or vegetable-only sushi should be fine, but then we'd worry about the person making the sushi having washed his hands after handling raw fish.See 1 more doctor answer
I'm 36 weeks 4 days pregnant can I eat skinless bake taplia fish does that fish have mercury in it?
Low level of mercury: Tilapia is considered to have a low level of mercury. Here are some websites for your research on "safe fish" to eat. http://water.epa.gov/scitech/swguidance/fishshellfish/outreach/advice_index.cfm http://www.Nrdc.Org/health/effects/mercury/guide.Asp.
Undercooked Eggs: Please make sure your eggs are completely cooked. Undercooked eggs put you at risk for salmonella.
Sure: It is very healthy as are most fruits and can be a good part of a healthy diet. Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy. Your concern suggests that you'll be a great mom!
Best to avoid: According to the information I obtained, Basa is contaminated with antibiotics, many of which are banned in the US due to safety concerns. In general pregnant women are advised to limit intake of many types of fish due to toxic chemicals or metals accumulating in their tissue. you are still in the phase of pregnancy wher defects can occur. So I wouldn't eat it. Pregnant or not.
Smoked fish: Although smoked products are not particularly good for the human body. No specific harmful effect to the unborn.
Ask your OB: If u were my pt i would say yes, in moderation but u need to ask your ob, and a little tip, don't go past your due date - not worth it , latest studies show the safest time for the baby to be delivered is 39-40 weeks- the least chance the baby will end up in the special care nursery, all of my pts are induced at 40 weeks if they haven't delivered, no reason for anything bad to happen to your baby.
21 weeks pregnant. Can I eat coleslaw during pregnancy? I am aware not to eat premade and prepackaged coleslaw from a store or fast food restaurant but what about a sit down restaurant- like Cracker Barrel?
Should be no problem: I can't imagine store or restaurant where coleslaw is offered would contain noxious ingredients. You might ask the manager of the venue where you purchase food what ingredients are in the slaw. Common sense should guide you.See 1 more doctor answer
