Hi, Im 9 days late on my period but i keep getting negative results on test. whats going on???

Later ovulation?: It's possible that you have ovulated later this cycle - or maybe you didn't ovulate at all! Please remember that if you are ovulating now - or if you will be ovulating later, you can get pregnant if you are not using reliable birth control. If you do not want a pregnancy now, ask your doctor or visit Planned Parenthood for some help with birth control. LGromkoMD ...Read more

Home pregnancy tests are very accurate.: They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception. The best time to take one is when you miss your period.  if you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. ...Read more

NO: Ibs (irritable bowel syndrome) is a vague complex of symptoms, frequently applied as a diagnosis when a patient has GI complaints, such as discomfort, bloating, and irregularity, with no absolute cause. It does not involve the reproductive system. Do not let it define you. I suggest you optimize your diet, drink plenty of nonalcoholic fluids, and eat yogurt. Good luck. ...Read more

Check pregnancy test: A home pregnancy test will be highly accurate as it has been >2 wks since ur last act of unprotected sex. If negative, it is not uncommon for young women to have their menses come late or to completely miss one, sometimes with spotting. Marked weight loss, excessive exercise, illness and emotional stress are common causes for this. I would need more info to give u advice about ur discharge. ...Read more

Possibly: Thyroid problems (over- or under active thyroid) can cause irregular periods. You should get a blood test to see if your thyroid is in balance. Also could be abnormal pregnancy--which can be serious. If you don't want to be pregnant, see your doctor to check it out--and discuss birth control/contraception. ...Read more
