I am two months late and took two HPT but both were negative. I am also not showing any signs of being pregnat like I should be at nine weeks. Why?

Not pregnant: Hot are very accurate and if you were pregnant, one would have shown positive. Stress is a common reason to miss several periods. I like that you are thinking of pregnancy because that is what I would do also. Please see your obgyn and get an exam and blood work and ultrasound as indicated ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I am 8 weeks and 5 days pregnant with every symptom in the book. This is my third. I'm not showing yet. Is this normal. I've gained 12 lbs already.?

Absolutely normal: Hi Alexandrea,

Yes all that you describe is very normal. Every pregnancy is different. Though you are an experienced mom, there are plenty of symptoms to newly discover. The pregnant uterus does not rise out of the pelvis until the 12th week so I would not expect you to "show" yet. The 12 lbs. That you have gained are mostly water weight. A normal response to the hormones of early pregnancy. ...Read more

Im.5"4 127 pounds five mnths preg. With first child. Why am I not showing? Wil I ever start to show, if so around what mnth?

Variation: How soon into pregnancy you start to "show" varies greatly from one person to the next. I'm six months and not showing is thier something wrong?

Everyone's different: This is determined by your body build, posture, your height, weight - a lot of things! As long as you are being checked on a regular basis, and your obstetrical provider is reassuring you about your baby's development, not to worry. Try as hard as you can not to compare yourself with other women in this - it's pointless, and it'll drive you crazy! Good luck. Lgromkomd. ...Read more

I'm on my 4th pregnancy and at 5 weeks im showing is this normal?

Hard to believe: At "5 weeks" of pregnancy, you are just one week past your missed period. You have a 3 week-old embryo, which is about 1/5 inch long and weighs less than a gram. Your HCG urine pregnancy number is likely from 1000-10, 000 and Progesterone level around 15. You may have symptoms of breast tenderness and nausea but as for "showing". ..There's not much to "show." close friends may guess, though. ...Read more
