Need to see actual: Report. All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, pregnant women normally have higher WBC counts and your is in the normal range.

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I threw up blood, what does that mean?

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and I threw up blood, what does that mean?

A tear?: If you have been vomiting alot with the effects of the pregnancy, you may have torn the lining of the esophagus. This may need medical investigation and treatment. See your pcp/ob and possibly a GI doctor. This could become a serious problem. (mallory weiss tear).

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and lastnight I was vomiting blood, amoungst my food of course. Is this normal?

Not normal: No, it's not normal, but if it only happened once, you should be ok. If you keep vomiting blood, however, you should get checked. A Mallory-Weiss tear is a tear in the esophagus from recurrent severe vomiting (retching) and may need treatment.

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and having a discharge. Not blood but a brownish, slimy discharge. What can it be? Should I go to hospital

Go to MD instead: Since your pregnancy is confirmed the possibility of miscarriage exists if you are also experiencing cramping. If that occurs, and tissue is passed then an ER visit is needed. If not, then make a appointment with a OB GYN MD for assessment and continuing pregnancy care as desired.

I am about 7 weeks pregnant and sunday night I passed watery blood for 2 hours it was only light and today I passed thick pink discharge is it normal?

Not really: Bleeding in early pregnancy is not normal, but it does happen sometimes. Bleeding can also be the first sign that a miscarriage is happening. You can wait to see if you have more bleeding, or go see your doctor or midwife and ask for an ultrasound to see if your pregnancy appears to be developing normally.

Should I be concerned about a small amount of blood in my stool (7 weeks pregnant)?

Should I be concerned about a small amount of blood in my stool (7 weeks pregnant)?

Yes: Blood on the surface of the stool or on your toilet paper is most likely from hemorrhoids and not uncommon or worrisome. If the blood is in your stool, it is more likely to be from higher up in your digestive tract. Causes range from infection, polyps of the colon, colitis to ulcers. None of these are normal for pregnancy and would require investigation.

Common not normal: Bleeding in pregnancy is very common but is not normal. It should be promptly evaluated by your doctor. You need to confirm that you have a normal pregnancy located inside the uterus.

I'm around 7 weeks pregnant w/ my 2nd child. I had severe cramping for 15 minutes nearly brought me to tears. No blood. Could it be miscarriage?

Call your OBGYN: Usually start bleeding if you are going to have a miscarriage, but your pain is not normal, could be round ligament pain or other, if you have not had an ultrasound yet that needs to be done asap to make sure you have a viable iup and not an ectopic pregnancy so please call your obgyn tonight.

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and when I have a bowel moment I bleed sometimes bright red blood, & sometimes just light pink, I have some cramps & sharp pains?

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and when I have a bowel moment I bleed sometimes bright red blood, & sometimes just light pink, I have some cramps & sharp pains?

Need exam.: Painless small volume bright red rectal bleeding is usually hemorrhoid in cause. Painful (rectally only) small volume bright rectal bleeding is often due an anal fissure. Abdominal pain &/or cramps with urgency &/or straining with larger volumes of rectal bleeding or bloody stools suggests proctitis &/or colitis. Weight loss, fever, age > 40, family history of colitis or colon cancer are worrisome

Prenatal care: Pregnancy should not cause severe pain or gastroenterologic disturbances. Part of prenatal care is partnering with an obgyn you trust to guide you through this scary time. Contact your doctor to determine if further testing is warranted.

Rubbing alcohol to clean tool to remove sliver be dangerous at 7 weeks pregnant? I soaked finger in it then used soap. There was blood present.

Rubbing alcohol to clean tool to remove sliver be dangerous at 7 weeks pregnant? I soaked finger in it then used soap. There was blood present.

Probably not dangerous: Rubbing alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol, can be metabolized by the body, but slowly. It also dries out the skin, which is why u probably bled with the sliver. Since u did not ingest the rubbing alcohol, chances r that ur fetus did not get significant exposure. No need to overreact, but do take care & avoid exposure as much as u can. When ur baby is older, lock the alcohol away. Thanks for ur questio

I'm 9 weeks pregnant. Got a blood test & although not anaemic, my iron levels are lower now than before. Is this normal during the 1st trimester? Why?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant. Got a blood test & although not anaemic, my iron levels are lower now than before. Is this normal during the 1st trimester? Why?

Dilution: The blood volume expands during pregnancy and the concentration of some constituents of blood falls due to dilution. You should consult your doctor about taking iron and multivitamin supplements. Wish you good health and a health baby!
