Im 40 weeks and wanted to know if back pains was a sign of early labor ?

Im experiencing abdominal pain mainly at night. A sign of preg? Hard to know when im due as i jad a normal period and then a wk later i had spotting.

Take a test: If you're worried that you might be pregnant then take a home pregnancy test to be sure. Sounds like you are having breakthrough bleeding, not pregnancy, but take a test to be sure. Abdominal pain could be intestinal or due to female organs. The fact only at night makes more likely related to meals and/or positioning than due to female organs. If persists or if you're worried, then see a doctor. ...Read more

Get Thee To Your Doc: On one level you could"trust in the wisdom of Nature" and chill your anxiety--that most of these situations are Nature's response to a biological problem. On the other hand, before that, you could get an exam to determine potential viability before you make such an important decision. Early on, however,it's usually "in the hands of God."
