4 weeks pregnant and my tailbone and both sides of my pelvic area is sore?

Not uncommon: I would let your obstetrician know, but this is not uncommon. Pregnancy is associated with a tremendous change in hormone levels throughout the body. One of the musculoskeletal manifestations of this is a general increase in laxity in the joints of the pelvis, possibly in preparation for birthing process. As a result, pregnancy can cause increased pain around the SI joints, the pubis and back. ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Hello why I got hurt little my left belly during I am pregnancy.Im 4 weeks pregnant.is it normal.?.Please let me know . Thanks!!

Shouldn't hurt: Hi! Congratulations on your pregnancy! Generally at 4 wks you should not be having any pain due to the pregnancy, but you might have pain/morning sickness or indigestion. I would make sure you call your OB to let him/her know your symptoms in case you need to be seen. Also, do NOT to take any medicine, herbs, over the counter products until you've asked your Dr or the pharmacist if it is safe! ...Read more

I am about 4 weeks pregnant and I have horrible back pain, it hurts really bad! is it normal i recently had a miscarriage in dec so the back pain scares me

Without : Without examining you, it's hard to say whether your back pain is ok or not. Since you are pregnant and because you've had a recent miscarriage, the safest thing for you to do is to call your ob/gyn doctor as soon as possible. Your pain may or may not be related to your pregnancy, but you should have it checked out either way. Good luck! ...Read more

I have a bump and my tailbone hurts really bad. What do you recommend?

I have a bump and my tailbone hurts really bad. What do you recommend?

Coccydynia: Tailbone pain can occur with or without injury. Only real concern is to exclude a sacral tumor (extremely rare). If bowel/bladder habits normal, probably ok. Treatment included nsaid's, and a sitting pillow. Not a doughnut, but a foam wedge with triangle cutout. This keeps you sitting leaning forward without pressure on the coccyx. If persistent, removal is rarely needed but successful. ...Read more
