Not normal: It is never normal to have blood in your stools. That said, it doesn't mean it has to be due to something serious as hemorrhoids are both common & a common cause of blood in stool. Blood in the stool should be evaluated. If bright red or maroon then a lower GI tract scope (colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, proctoscopy) is first step. If black bloody stool then upper scope indicated. Not likely: gallstones typically will cause pain in upper R abdomen or center of abdomen specifically after eating fatty foods. This pain is not related to pain with BMs. Might you be constipated? See a GI: Blood in the stool(hematochezia) can be from various sources. Most common is hemorrhoids related or it can be from inflammation of the colon(colitis) and in pts above 50 yrs of age malignancy can be a cause. Medications particularly blood thinners can cause it too.
