Possibly ; yes: The cdc does not officially recognize whether lyme can be transmitted from mother to baby in utero; this is controversial but there is sound evidence that this can occur; how often it occurs is not known. Some doctors even feel that many cases of autism are caused by this. While the lyme bacteria has been found in breast milk, transmission via breastfeeding seems less likely.
