When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more
Depends: There are some liver diseases that are related to pregnancy (common). On the other hand, someone may have pre-existing liver disease. Symptoms of pregnancy related liver disease vary from no symptom (only blood work will show abnormal liver tests) to itching, nausea/vomiting, belly pain, leg swelling, high blood pressure and signs of liver failure etc.
Is there any disease out there that has all the symptoms of pregnancy but is not pregnancy? I'm not preggers but month or so I keep getting all the signs for it but I never am pg help?
If I had untreated lymes disease before all of my pregnancies, would all 8 of my breastfed children have it? Could symptoms show anytime in their lives?
Possibly ; yes: The cdc does not officially recognize whether lyme can be transmitted from mother to baby in utero; this is controversial but there is sound evidence that this can occur; how often it occurs is not known. Some doctors even feel that many cases of autism are caused by this. While the lyme bacteria has been found in breast milk, transmission via breastfeeding seems less likely. Various: There are several kinds of liver problems related to pregnancy. If your skin or the whites of your eyes start looking yellow, if you are having pain in the upper right side of your abdomen, or if you are having nausea, vomiting & headaches later in pregnancy, tell your OB and be seen right away. Some liver problems in pregnancy are mild, but others can be life-threatening and/or harm your baby.
Before being pregnant ESR was 63 at 5 weeks ESR was 77 could this complicate pregnancy? No symptoms of illness all other bloods normal please help
ESR: The erythrocyte sedimentation rate is a very non-specific measure of inflammation and in the absence of symptoms or other manifestations of illness should be ignored. Lab test results taken out of the context of clinical presentations and findings seldom have relevance. Good luck and have a great baby. Should you develop any issues, see your OB quickly.
Polyhydramnios: There are several possible causes for polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid). Many times, drs cannot find a definite reason. When a cause is found, most common are moms with high blood sugar/diabetes, and certain repairable birth defects in baby's digestive tract. Excess fluid can also overstretch the uterus and cause preterm labor. A special detailed ultrasound and close follow-up are recommended.
I have Crohn's disease in remission for about 2 yrs. & need to know what are the symptoms of early pregnancy in Crohn's patients.?
Same as anyone else: It's great you're in remission. Symptoms of pregnancy are the same as for any woman without crohn's. It's important to talk with your doctor about your crohn's. It's important for the baby to keep your disease under control. Many medicines are safe for pregnancy, but some (methotrexate for example) are not. So let your doctor know if you become pregnant, or if you are thinking of becoming pregnant.
Is it likely that my pregnancy 5 years ago caused my illnesses to be worse? Never noticed symptoms until year after had baby. Lupus, sjögren's, heart
Very possible: Many auto immune diseases but especially lupus tend to flare and get worse in the postpartum period in some cases the disease first truly expresses itself after a prefnancy.
No symptoms, all ena's 0.2 but rnp 1.6. Can pregnancy influence the growth of rnp and autoimmune disease? (a lot of women get ill after pregnancy).
Could be Either: Seee your doctor if you have a heart defect wile pregnant and are extra tired.
How late can illness in combination with high levels of exercise delay my period? I am 2 weeks late, no symptoms of pregnancy, but had unprotected sex
Pregnancy Test: That's the only sure way to know Since U R a male why worry?
Unlikely: Unless you are having periods every month, you are still pregnant. A lot of women have significant symptoms (nausea, vomiting, pain) during pregnancy and you are lucky if you are free of symptoms. As long as you don't have any bleeding, you should be ok. Follow up with your Ob-Gyn as scheduled. Best wishes Dr M
Cold sx: pregnancy?: Pregnancy in general produces more active growth in the lining of sinuses, and other mucus membranes. This can cause obstruction in breathing, and lead to a "runny nose" and sinus headaches. Ask your obstetric provider for advice in reduction of these symptoms.See 1 more doctor answer
