There were streaks of a teal color in my mucus from my nose. What does it mean? I'm not sick nor have allergies. It kinda looks like ink or paint.

There were streaks of a teal color in my mucus from my nose. What does it mean? I'm not sick nor have allergies. It kinda looks like ink or paint.

Irritation nose: The teal - colored mucous from your nose could be from mucous that is drier in the fall. When the heat is on, the air gets drier and less moisture. Saline or warm water spray into nostrils - 3 times/d. Humidifier while sleeping may help w/ mucous in nose. Drink extra fluids. Recheck at doctor's office if mucous from nose gets thicker or does not improve. Stop Afrin (oxymetazoline) nose spray this week. ...Read more

When I take panadol (acetaminophen) , my depression symptoms disappear & feel so good but I get my nose allergy and inflammed , What does that mean ?

Unclear but: I will venture a guess that Panadol makes you feel good but then your nasal symptoms worsen. There are very unusual effects from the drug but if you feel good with Panadol , just beware of the fact that high doses can damage your liver. I have no explanation as to why Panadol worsens your nose although Penadol sensitivity, albeit extremely rare, has been reported. ...Read more

Will chronic rhinitis last forever? I mean, will I ever get rid of it? No allergies, nasal polyps or deviated septum. Stuffy nose so often!

Depends: on what the cause is. For vasomotor rhinitis, this will likely linger on for decades. For allergic rhinitis, avoidance of allergens and allergy shots may offer prolonged remission, for hyperplastic rhinitis, ultrasound reduction may be needed. The answer thus is "depends". ...Read more

What white mucus means as nasal drip?when i get allergy pill,it get little better!its 2th day!they say allergy but i hv also reflux?which one is this?

Either or both: Your history suggests that both reflux and nasal allergy may potentially play a role but nasal allergy should be on the top of the list. I would recommend that you try a nasal steroid for a couple of weeks to find out how well it works. when reflux reaches the throat area, it can also induce a sense of mucus at the throat but few actually can spit out any mucus making this a less likely cause. ...Read more
