You can also talk to your doctor about medicines that can sometimes help, it is usually unrealistic to expect a full supply back. ...Read more

I stopped breast feeding almost 8 months ago, is it too late to relactation? Is it possible to relactation at this point?

Yes, but difficult : You have to your advantage the fact you were previously breast feeding. This makes relactation a bit easier, but it's still a daunting task. You must be very committed, very relaxed, and understand even with the best situation you may not be successful. If possible, get a lactation expert involved. Adoptive mom's who didn't even have a baby have done this, but it takes time and commitment ...Read more

I stopped breast feeding 4 more then 5 years. Now my husband wants me to start breast feeding as it is beneficial for kids and him. Side effects & how2?

Abnormal!: Sorry, but this would be considered neither appropriate nor normal behavior, and your husband does not require breast milk. Any child (and adult) over a few years old can receive adequate and healthful nutrition from sources other than mother's milk. It is extremely beneficial for the first part of evey baby's life, however. Beyond that it is fulfilling only for mother (and father in this case). ...Read more

This might be crazy, but I stopped breast feeding my son at 6 weeks, he is 4 mo. Old. Can I start again?

Unlikely: Production of milk is a feedback loop. You stopped when you child was 1 1/2 months old and now 2 1/2 months have gone by. The "factory" probably has shut down. By now your child has gotten comfortable with the terrific flow from a bottle and will be resistant to return even if that were possible. Carry on. ...Read more

I stopped breast feeding 3 weeks ago my baby is 5 weeks now i wanna breastfeed again has my milk gone bad is it ok to let my baby nurse?

Go for it!: There's no reason you shouldn't try to "relactate". Your milk is the best thing for the baby. You should get a breast pump, and pump both sides at the same time to stimulate your milk to come back. Also fenugreek tea can help. See a lactation consultant for more advice.
