Doc can I take my clexane 20 mg injection on my tummy (belly button side) on pregnancy? I'm 20 weeks preg and tummy is big now. Will it enter uterus?
No: If you are pregnant and taking a blood thinner, I say stop. There are cases when a patient needs to take Aspirin when pregnant for a condition. This Clexane is something for blood clots so I don't know why you are on it while pregnant. Please ask your Obstetrician. ...Read more
20 weeks and 3 days pregnant, today I woke up with some cramps around my belly button. I been having clear discharge since I found out was pregnant, is the cramp because my uterus is growing? Or should I worry and call my doctor?
Expansion project: The uterus is undergoing an expansion project by extending the walls of the "room". This produces "stretching " pains (cramps) while the "remodeling" is ongoing. Please verify this information with your currently treating OB MD at your next appointment. ...Read more
Had 2 sonograms show same due date now doc says uterus larger than should be need reevaluation. What does that mean? Am I farther along? 1st sono 6wks
Likely nothing.: Many times a physician will order a repeat scan if the uterus is measuring larger than expected. The most common reason for this is a change in fetal position and means nothing. The fetus may also be growing larger than expected, and in that case would be useful to know. ...Read more
If reeval needed for larger uterus than should be will doc do ceaserian? Due march 11, says sonograms may b wrong, both had same due date, 1st, at6wks
Depends: First sono at 6 wks has established your dates and is the best estimate of the true dates. If uterus is larger than expected, need to see if fetus is large or amniotic fluid volume is excessive. Increased fluid most likely related to diabetes in mother, rarely with problems with fetus swallowing. If fetus is too large for your pelvis then C-section could be required but your dates have been set! ...Read more
I am 35 weeks 4 days with baby number 4 I have a dydelphis uterus and I am 5 CM dilated my doctor sent me home what should I do at this point?
I was told by my doctor that I have a small uterus (only 5 cm). My cycle is about 35 days and the periods usually last for 5-6 days. Can I get pregnan?
I would like to know what a few different doctors recommend for a 10.2x3.9x4.9cm uterus and 2 CM unilocular cyst-long periods, cramps, clotting-Thanks?
Dysmenorrhea: The first question is are you finished with your family? If your family is complete then you are able to do something more permanent. The size of your uterus is essentially normal. The unilocular cyst is physiologic. That leaves the clotting. Ask your doctor about an endometrial ablation. This would eliminate the long periods and the passage of clots. It is an outpatient procedure. ...Read more
I'm 22 weeks and measure at 16..... So what does it mean when my doctor tells me my uterus is lower then it should be? Is there a huge problem?
Probably wrong dates: At the first half of the pregnancy, size-dates discrepancy typically means your pregnancy's dating is off. Fetal growth problems do not occur before the third trimester, with rare exceptions. Talk with your obstetrician about having monthly prenatal ultrasounds to determine the prospective fetal growth nd reassure yourself that all is well. Take your prenatal vitamins and good luck! ...Read more

I'm 58days late for my period, negative hpt and bloods. My doctors ordered a scan of my uterus. What does this mean?
Several things: Unfortunately there are several possibilities. Most likely your doctor is looking at the lining of your uterus looking for a possible fetus to an obstruction. The best option for you at this moment is to have the ultrasound soon to help relieve some of your anxiety. Keep your appointments with your doctor and make sure to ask your doctor all your questions. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Not much: She simply could not feel it either because it is small, it's position in the pelvis or perhaps your build makes it hard to feel. There is a rare congenital anomoly where the uterus doesn't develop. An ultrasound can determine this if there is concern. ...Read more

No period for 3 mo. Doc sent me for a pelv. U/s-report says: hypoechoic foci in uterus up to 3cm. Anechoic focus in myometrium-5mm. What does it mean?
Cycles / sono: It is normal to have some variations in your hormones as one gets older. The reason for irregular cycles can not be determined from an ultrasound. Nothing in the ultrasound is threatening; it sounds as though there are small fibroids. Dr may want to check your thyroid levels and cycle you. ...Read more

I went for an ultrasound and they said I have water in my uterus. What could this mean? What type of doctor shouldi see? I have an appointment with my gynocologist in two weeks is this the best type of doctor to go to. Also the reason they did the ultraso
Hello.: Hello. This is being answered by a psychiatrist. I am not sure, but I believe that what is being called water in the uterus may well be a fluid build up in your endometrium (lining of uterus). I would call your doctor's office to get more information. I am assuming by the way that this is written that you are not pregnant. If you are, that is a different matter. Sometimes this can be caused my infection. Sometimes it can be caused by malignancy. Your doctor should be able to give you a better idea in the context of your medical history. If there is concern, your doctor could do an enodometrial biopsy. Take care. ...Read more
In a case that IUD has moved for 6 mm in cavum (like the doc said when saw it at ultrasound) - is it still safe birth control? Does it mean it is still in uterus but sometimes it just moves?
Doc says I have septum/unicorn uterus and there is a 99% chance I can't give birth vaginally. (Had 1 csection already) what does this mean?
Bicornuate uterus: Women with unicornate uterus cannot carry a pregnancy to term, I assume you are talking about "Bicornuate or septate uterus" since you already went through one pregnancy. Bicornuate uterus has 2 cavities and in a septate uterus, your uterine cavity is divided by a septum, these can be differentiated by imaging studies like MRI. Some women deliver vaginally, please discuss with your OBGyn. ...Read more

Period last sometimes two years straight, allergic to birth control, doctors tell me there's nothing wrong with my uterus, I am anemic, what do I do?
See specialists: See the Endocrinologist and the Hematologist to get things rolling. No one should be bleeding for that amount of time without medical diagnosis and treatment. Sometimes you simply need to find the right MD, hospital. Do not give up -- keep on this until you solve it. Best of luck. ...Read more
I am am not ovulating and doc did sonogram and noticed my uterus was almost 13 mm thick. This was a few days before my period. Can this mean cancer?
OK to ask her: Happy to try and help, but first and foremost, never be afraid to ask your doctor or tell your doctor anything, they should know you best and know your test results etc and if it is not clear, ask them to explain it again. Most likely you have a fibroid or growth on your uterus, which is usually noncancerous and can cause heavier periods. ...Read more

You need ultrasound: Tho it is very early, you will need an ultrasound within the next few wks to determine the source of the bleeding. Up to 25% of pregnant patients may have some spotting within the first 12 wks of pregnancy and continue on with a healthy pregnancy. But the bleeding should be evaluated. You should be able to see the baby's heart beat by 7 wks after the 1st day of the last period. Good luck! ...Read more
