If I Had Swollen Lymph Nodes For Longer Than 2 Years They Must Be Benign Right
Not always.: While it is true that lymph nodes that remain stable in size are "more likely than not" to be cancerous, that is not an absolute rule. In fact, many lymphomas may grow very slowly and not demonstrate any appreciable change in size over a few years. I advise you to seek out medical evaluation, if for no other reason than peace of mind. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

I had swollen lymph nodes a long time ago and when i got rid of them the area between my neck and left shoulder got swollen it wasn't even painful its?
How?: I don't understand "when I got rid of them" since I don't know of any way to reduce lymph swelling (until the disease process has been controlled or faded away by itself as in the case of a viral infection) without medication. Is the swelling still present? If it has been present for more than a couple of weeks or getting worse, better consult your doctor. ...Read more

I've had swollen lymph nodes for a week should I see a doctor or wait a little longer and see if they go away on their own?
Below: Swollen lymph nodes are always concerning. If they completely disappear in the next week to ten days, then it is less concerning. If there is any question, any residual swelling, or if you have other symptoms-sweating, fever, fatigue, then you need to be seen. In short, you must feel completely normal and the noses gone or you need to see a DR. ...Read more

I have had swollen lymph nodes in my neck and left side of face for 5 years. Left side of neck and face is swollen. Dr says don't worry. What do I do?
Follow-up: Chronically swollen lymph nodes in the head and neck area are generally not due to a malignancy such as lymphoma or head and neck cancer. Chronic infection in the head and neck area could be a cause and there may be some lymphatic blockage causing the swelling. It would not be unreasonable to scan the area and possibly biopsy an accessible node. ...Read more
Are painless swollen lymph nodes for 2 years likely yo be cancerous? No other symptoms. No other conditions related.
How big?: That is a good long time. In a young woman it could be hodgkin's disease even with minimal symptoms. In an older patient it could be indolent non-hodgkin's lymphoma. This is worst case, but may be deserving of some work-up. ...Read more
Each month i get swollen lymph nodes on both sides of my neck, that last four a week or so had it for over 2 years but getting more frequent?
Go see an ENT doctor: It could be just repeated viral infections(colds) but you need to be sure that you do not have strept throat. A visit to your ENT doctor can help. If you want to try controlling it on your own, i wiould sugges that you try taking vitamin c, 500mg daily and give it a 6 month trial(it is pretty cheap vitamin). This may help, in which case you should continue taking it on a regular basis. ...Read more

Swollen lymph nodes in neck, that are all soft.. Moveable and under 1cm except one is 1.5 cm. Temps of 99.2 frequently and chills? Been for 3 years!
Go to see MD: You should go to see your doctor and get yourself checked.
