Maybe: Without seeing the xray and evaluation the problem the first sugeon has had it is not possible to give any deginitive answer get another consultation . You pain may be xoming from somthing totally different. Buried pins usually ar not painful. ...Read more

Healed?: I suspect if you still can't bear weight that the bones have not healed or have shifted in a way that causes pain. You need to see your orthopaedic surgeon for x-rays and an evaluation. Make sure they review your injury and the current state o healing with you. ...Read more

Depends: If they were placed well in solid bone and your are doing what your orthopedist recommends, i doubt there is much chance of breaking a screw. Probably neither!!: After surgery, till the fx has healed, the plate/screws maintain the bones alignment while the bone heals. After the fx has healed and you start strengthening exercises, the muscles get stronger and eventually the bone becomes stronger than when it was broken, but i don't believe it becomes stronger than its normal strength. It does not weaken, unless the pt does not complete her exercises. ...Read more
