My height is 5 inches and weight is 64 kg.What should be my ideal weight according to my height?

Hmm. . .try again: I'm pretty sure you're more than 5 inches tall. To calculate "normal" weight, go to http://nhlbisupport.Com/bmi/ to determine weight range to achieve 18.5-25kg/m2 as normal. But don't forget that it's not just pure weight but also composition of weight. In other words, you want as much muscle as possible which suggests waist <35" in women & <40" in men. ...Read more

Hi my height is 174 cms and my weight is 90 kg. What should be my ideal weight and please provide a diet plan to reduce weight?

Overwight: Your body mass index (bmi) is 29.7. You are considered overweight. Your ideal weight should be less than 76 kg. The first part of any diet plan should be to reduce calories and increase exercise to build muscle tissue. Start you diet by avoiding high fructose corn syrup and fructose sugar except in whole fruits , and eat less of everything, sounds too easy right? Try it for just 30 days ! ...Read more

You decide: Ideal weight" charts are based on fallacies. If we believed them, then most triathletes would be "underweight" and most professional football players -- fantastic athletes -- would be "overweight." your ideal weight is whatever looks and feels right to you and enables you to perform your chosen sport(s) best. ...Read more

What is ideal weight for 22 year old female (170cm)? and 22 year old male? please in kg

What is ideal weight for 22 year old female (170cm)? and 22 year old male? please in kg

BMI: A BMI (Body Mass Index) of 18.5-24.9 is normal. For the 1.7m female the ideal weight would be between 54kg to 72kg. You would need the height of the male to calculate it. Use the following link from the CDC to see for yourself. http://www.cdc.gov/healthyweight/assessing/bmi/adult_bmi/metric_bmi_calculator/bmi_calculator.html ...Read more

Puzzleing question: The data available in the US,from both body mass index and CDC growth standards show a young adult female at 164cm(64.5 in) to have a desired weight of 58kg and a healthy range of 53-62 kg.There are some obvious differences when comparing populations from different countries.By Us standards you would be considered underweight.see www.cdc.gov/growthcharts ...Read more

I bet you're fine: The "ideal weight" charts are entertainment, not science. The olympic track team is "underweight"; ultra-fit linebackers are "obese". If you're active in fitness / sports of your choice and keep up with your peers, your weight is fine. A man doesn't really want body fat. You can muscle up with resistance training; eating will take care of itself. ...Read more

Move/Exercise: i need more information like your age, other medical problems and how have you tried correcting it. Even if the table show it is an "ideal weight" your body composition may be a higher fat percentage, which is not healthy. It could be hormone problems, insulin resistance, etc. anyway general exercises to build up muscle and lose fat will help. See your healthcare professional, eat health and MOVE ...Read more

I'm 25 years old. It's 101 pounds normal if my height is 5 4"? If not, what is my ideal weight?

Underweight BMI: We use Body Mass Index (BMI) to roughly gauge healthy weight ranges for patients. It is a ratio between weight and height. For a BMI of less than 18.5, a patient is considered underweight. BMI of 18.5-24.9 is "normal", 25-29.9 is "overweight", and over 30 is "obese". Your BMI is 17.3. Talk to your doctor about overall healthy nutrition and weight concerns before just adding on pounds. ...Read more
