DANGEROUS, however:: A no carb diet would consist only of meat ; eggs; i don't know anyone who recommends this. It would result in many nutritional deficiencies, completely lacking vitamin c, fiber, flavonoids ; other phytonutrients essential for good health. Not necessarily: There is no single diet that is best for everyone. I believe it is wise to minimize sugars and simple starches, but i believe a diet with whole grains, vegetables, fruit and low-fat proteins is healthier than a strict low carb diet (which is relatively high in fat and protein). Unsafe, unwise: I believe most extreme diets are unhealthy and unwise and this is a good example. I advise limiting protein to about 70 grams a day. Higher amounts puts stress on the kidneys, can cause osteoporosis and may reduce longevity- esp. if the main source is animal protein.
