You may.: You may give pedialyte. However remember pedialyte does not provide enough calories. Pedialyte is not a medicine. It just helps to keep the hydration. If your 3 month old is taking feeds, it is better to continue breast-feeding. You can also express your breast milk and feed with a spoon in small amounts. Difficult situation: COPD at advanced age is difficult. You are probably looking at longterm oxygen which has been showing to decrease mortality in the disease. Tough: Poor coughing and swallowing can occur after stroke and increase the risk of aspiration/pneumonia. Febrile seizures: If he has an ear infection it is due to the mucus which has backed up from the nose. You can help the problem by using salt water nose drops, a vaporizer, and bulb syringe to such up the mucus. Antibiotics such as Amoxil for the ear infection itself.
