Common sensation.: But usually nothing is found. The things we worry about are circulatory and nerve problems. Rarely is this a presenting problem of endocrine or rheumatologic disease. To be honest the VAST majority of patients with this complaint have no significant finding to suggest anything wrong with them.
Exercise.: If you aren't getting enough exercise, you are not generating enough heat in your body to activate the entire cooling system - which includes sweating and directing blood flow to extremities.
MS symptoms: Multiple sclerosis can cause a host of symptoms, including cold hands and feet. However, there are other causes of these symptoms as well such as Raynaud's Phenomenon/disease and sometimes it just happens and there is not a problem causing it! You should visit your primary care physician to discuss these symptoms.
During the winter months I get bad cold hands and feet. What can cause it? And what can I do for it
Vascular condition: You might have a condition called raynaud's disease, where cold can cause blood vessels in the fingers, toes, ears, and nose to constrict. There might be some slight bluish discoloration. You should have a discussion with your doctor about this or other possibilities.
Could my low ths levels cause my cold hands and feet and hot face sensations? Also an increase in average temperature?
Yes: Low TSH is most commonly seen in hyperthyrodism (elevated thyroid hormone level) and this condition can cause the symptoms described. See your doctor for an examination soon.
I sweat a lot than I used to and I also have cold hands and feet even when it's hot outside, after I shower and especially at night. What is the cause?
Not necessarily: It could be but not necessarily. Other possible causes include it just being cold. Some people can have cold hands and feet normally in surprisingly warm temperatures.
Possible: 51 but I know little about U. Atenolol is B.P. & B-Blocker med which lowers heart rate. If U have atherosclerosis affecting major blood vessels, Atenolo decreases blood flow to areas affected, esp distal extremities. Why do U take Atenolol & what other meds taken. Atherosclerosis comes esp from Diabetes, HTN, High Cholesterol, Smoking. Atenolol does not affect brain signif, but low blood flow can.
Cold after surgery: Normally surgery rooms are kept quite cold and under anesthesia, as there is no movement in the body + there is exposure for surgery etc, the body temperature drops and patients get cold after the surgery esp in extremities. Most modern operation rooms do have warm air covers over patients to maintain normal body temperature + they also use heated IV fluids and humidified anesthetic gases
Cold feet & vit B12: Cold feet (and hands) is often a condition where the blood flow is impaired due to overconstriction of the capillaries by the sympathetic nervous system. This occurs because of the overactivity of the sympathetic nerves which effect the constriction. Vitamin b (b6, b12) deficiency needs to be corrected, but keeping hands & feet warm is also important. Long term tx requires a medical professional.

Yesterday felt cold hands feet turned white toes turned blue felt weak and unbalanced what could it be can low potassium cause this symptoms thanks?
NO: Potassium levels (neither high nor low) do not cause cold feet or hands. Your symptoms cannot be determined with the information supplied. Ambient temperature, activity, insulation, state of hydration all play a role. Thyroid hormone level can be a factor. Raynaud's phenomenon is a disorder in which hands and feet blanch and become cyanotic, numb, tingly, or painful when exposed to cold.
Cold feet and hands: Pernio is caused by exposure to cold for a long period of time without freezing or by very wet conditions. Raynauds syndrome is an abnormal narrowing of the blood vessels with cooling of the fingers or toes. Cryoglobulins are proteins, which are normally dissolved in the blood, that become solids or gels when cold. These are some causes of cold hands and feet.See 1 more doctor answer
