Yes but not always: E.Coli is common cause of UTI. Bloody urine is common but not specific for any one bacteria. After ruling out infection, older patients must make sure blood is not from cancer or another cause. See your doctor. ...Read more

Maybe: Depends on the doctor, generally we recommend cystoscopy to complete the evaluation for reversible causes but some doctors may decide it is ok to trial some treatment for symptom management while awaiting cysto. Depends on your symptoms too because the medical treatment choices vary depending on which symptoms are most dominant in your case. Wouldn't hurt to ask them. Hope this helps ...Read more

You likely have it.: If you have the symptoms, you likely have it. You may even have upper urinary ttract infection, and not know it. You'd be wise to see your doctor for urinalysis and culture and other tests to find out what infection you have before it does permanent damage. ...Read more
