Ibuprofen Withdrawal Symptoms
I'm taking Norco 5/325 for my wisdom teeth. Surgeon said to alternate with Motrin. Will I have any withdrawal symptoms?
History matters: I'm glad you are aware of dependency from use of narcotic drugs. Using narcotic pain medications like Norco, especially after oral surgery, is a common practice in dentistry. Alternating with Motrin helps reduce the total amount of Norco use. If you are using the dose according to your surgeon's advice, withdrawal is highly unlikely. It is more common after a long-term, or repeated use. ...Read more

Zoloft is quite different than Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) and may cause unwanted side effects even if taken for only 1 or 2 days. You may try any over the counter headache / nausea med which are the main side effects of "withdrawal". Maybe a Physician from your State is available on HeathTaP Prime to refill today? ...Read more

That is too short: A period for withdrawal. In general, long-term use of these medications requires a minimum of one month, and sometimes as much as 3 months (rarely more) to safely get off. There are medications, such as clonidine, which can help treat the post-acute withdrawal symptoms you are llkely feeling. Talk to your doctor, or ask for a second opinion regarding the weaning. Discuss w/ Dr!: This is one of the most difficult drugs to stop. It needs to be slow and as you see - even then it is rough! Perhaps your Dr can find a thing to see you through it. I was taking 6 Xanax (alprazolam) a day priscribed by my doctor, I took myself off over a week ago. How much longer will I be having withdrawal symptoms?
Dangerous: This is really dangerous, and I urge you contact your own prescribing physician immediately. Abruptly stopping xanax (alprazolam) and other benzodiazepines can cause seizures. Your body needs at least 75 hours to process xanax (alprazolam) out of your system, and your age, liver condition, & smoking can change this timing. So the length of physical withdrawal can vary. There have been published fatalities. ...Read more
