This organ plays a major role in metabolism and has a number of functions in the body, including glycogen storage, decomposition of red blood cells, plasma protein synthesis, hormone production, and detoxification. It lies below the diaphragm in the abdominal-pelvic region of the abdomen. It produces bile, an alkaline compound which aids in digestion via the emulsification of ...Read more
Question?: I'm not sure what the question is - if you are asking if tylenol (acetaminophen) can damage the liver, then yes. The fda recently decreased the maximum dose for tylenol (acetaminophen) to 3, 000 mg per 24 hours in healthy adults. For kids or those with medical problems, the dose is even less. Overdosing on the active ingredient in tylenol (acetaminophen) is one of the worst deaths i've ever seen. ...Read more
Depends on patient: Mobic (meloxicam) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent (nsiad). Aleve (naproxen) is also an nsaid. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is not an anti-inflammatory medicine. Mobic lasts longer and in most cases needs to be taken once daily. Patients react differently to nsaids. So the efficacy frequently is patient dependent. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Could taking tylenol (acetaminophen) or tylenol (acetaminophen) 3 cause a 96.62 non african GFR reading?
It normal, and no: Many pathologists, nephrologists, and other physicians are strongly critical of the fad for "estimating glomerular filtration rate" from a spot creatinine. The "african" business is because black people are supposedly more muscular than white people, but serum creatinine actually is a reflection of both muscle mass / fitness and kidney function. If your physician isn't concerned, i wouldn't be. ...Read more

Other than the tylenol (acetaminophen) vs ibuprofen, wnat is the difference between norco and vicoprofen?
Is there a difference between tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine #3 and tylenol (acetaminophen) with codeine #4?
Depends: Ibuprofen is my preferred med. It lasts longer (isn't gives so often). I shouldn't be given < 6m due to risks of kidney irritation. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is a fine med but doesn't last as long. I don't recommend alternating the two when a kid has a fever as I have never seen it work well & i respect but don't worry so much about fever. Parents should pay more attention to fluid intake when ill than temperature. ...Read more
There aren't any: Let me explain - "Cet or cette" at the end of medications means it contains acetaminophen or tylenol. The active opiate in the medication is Oxycodone, and oxycodone comes without tylenol in both brand-name and generic versions, including Roxicet, which comes in 5, 10, 15 and 30 mg strengths. It also comes in sustained release long-acting versions in doses ranging from 10mg - 80 mg. ...Read more
