Ibuprofen + Tylenol (acetaminophen): Take Ibuprofen 600 milligrams every 8 hours and alternate with Tylenol (acetaminophen) 500 mg. You may alternate the two medications for moderate to severe pain by taking ibuprofen, then taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) three hours later. Keep that rotation going as needed.
You can - but why?: Fever is a generally beneficial response to infection and helps to fight the infection. The only reasons to reduce fever are that the individual is patently uncomfortable, or that their heart or lungs cannot tolerate it, or that the fever has reached heights in a child which place them at risk of seizures (>105). You can use tepid washcloth baths, low dose pediatric tylenol, (acetaminophen) etc., .See 1 more doctor answer

My daughter has 104, 03 of fever. I gave her ibuprofen and acetaminophen but it doesn't drop. Should I take her to the emergency room?
Wait a few minutes: If you are sure you are giving an appropriate dose based on her weight, (not age) of the two different meds, and you have waited a full 45-60 minutes and the temperature does not go below 103 after the med, then you may want to consider it. While 104 is quite high, it's not deadly, but does need evaluation within 24 hours. I would recommend you see her regular doctor tomorrow - and lots of fluid.See 3 more doctor answers

The interaction may be more likely if you are elderly or have kidney or liver disease.' (http://www. Drugs. Com/interactions-check. Php? Drug_list=1310-0, 2057-1348)See 1 more doctor answer

Have it evaluated: At four a recurrent pattern of cough may be an early indicator of mild asthma. Write down all you recall about this pattern & take it in & review this history with the doc during a visit. A referral for some pulmonary function studies may be needed to sort this out.See 1 more doctor answer

Depends: Depends on what you would take it for.
