Whenever I have an IBS flare up i get symptoms like extreme dizziness and fatigue. Is this normal and can it be helped?

R/O IBS: IBS diagnosis of exclusion. SX can be managed You need a full exam and blood work. Especially screen for H pylori . Also stool screen x 3 for occult blood /parasite/hpylori . you also need a baseline colonoscopy. While you are getting these items checked out you should ditch to a gluten free high fiber diet . Confused. : Question says ibs but there is blood in stool and medications include asacol (mesalamine). These last two features are more characteristic of ibd than ibs. In either case vacation is not precluded by these unless of course you are planning a hike to remote bhutan or the likes. IBS: I need not tell you ibs can be real annoying. Stress and diet can play a major role in ibs exacerbations. If your dr.
