I can sleep through the night fine. But if I try to take a nap during the day I get a bad headache. Why is this?
Avoid Naps: If you can't sleep through the night, it is best to avoid naps. Your goal is to regulate your night time sleep, instead of playing nap catch up. Try to set a regular wake time and get out of bed after 20 mins of tossing and turning. I have more sleep tips in my feed or look up healthy sleep habits. Perhaps your doc can refer you to a natural doc for that. ...Read more
I have woken up the past week nauseated. it goes away after about 2 hours. then comes back about an hour later and is worse until i eat something. I have a hormonal imbalance. Can the hormones cause this?
AM nausea: May be GERD, gallbladder ( though usually pain after eating), would check thyroid, liver tests, and also check urine/blood HCG. and if all negative consider sonogram of abdomen/pelvis looking for liver/ovarian/bowel issues (CT is better for bowel). Do you have a headache as well? may be sinusitis rarely increased pressure in brain( MRI/CT would detect) ...Read more

Can an unfamiliar environment like a hotel cause sleepwalking? I havn't done it since childhood. Not sure why I would suddenly do it again last night.
Yes & no: Sleep walking is more often related lack of adequate restorative sleep causing a sleep deficit. Traveling or sleeping in a strange environment can aggravate this. Sleep entry is most often like a gentile glide into the stages, but a deficit triggers a rapid fall, like a near crash landing. Try budgeting more time for sleep & it should not recur. ...Read more

What will happen if I sleep after I eat? Im having a hard time to sleep if I don't eat before going to bed.
Depends: It likely depends on the diet. High carb meals or meals w/ sweets can cause excessive somnolence. It is worse if you have glucose intolerance. For this, i would discuss w/ your doctor and run a few screening labs to ensure you are not diabetic or headed that way. Otherwise, if you sleep after eating, the most likely outcome will be weight gain. Consider small meals more frequently. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
