Deoxygenated blood enters the lungs from the right side of the heart and travels to the lungs. When you inspire, oxygen flows into the lungs, transverses the capilliares and attaches to hemoglobin down a gradient. At the same time, co2 diffuses into the capilaries and is expelled with exhalation. Oxygen rich blood then flows to the left side of the heart and into the ...Read more

Ive had anxiety about ALS lately. How do i get tested for this? so it can most likely be ruled out and i can take my life back
ALS: As far as I know no one be will put through the extensive and, sometimes, uncomfortable tests for ALS unless they are truly symptomatic and all other possibilities have been ruled out. I would suggest speaking to your primary care physician to discuss whatever symptoms you may be experiencing. If nothing else shows up, locate a good therapist to work on anxiety reducing strategies. ...Read more

Hi, : Hi, you sound like you are feeling miserable. Panic attacks are usually brief. They often last a couple of minutes to around ten minutes. Symptoms can include a sense of severe anxiety or panic as well as chest tightness or pain and a rapid or pounding heartbeat. There could also be areas of numbness or pins and needles type sensation. A person can experience hot flashes or chills and perspire heavily. There may be a tickle sensation in the stomach or nausea. When a person has a panic attack they may feel dizzy or faint and may become physically shaky. The person may fear that they are going crazy, they are out of control or that they are about to die. The sense that you have when you feel unreal may be a form of dissassociation called depersonalization. The sense that everything around you feels fake may be derealization. I am glad that you have seen your physician. It is very important to have a full physical evaluation to rule out possible underlying medical problems. You will not die from a panic attack (if that is the correct diagnosis). However, I do recommend that you see either a psychiatrist or a psychologist to get help with this. This is certainly treatable. It does not mean you are crazy. I hope you get help soon, so that you can start feeling better. Take care. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

No!No! NO!: There is no way a chiropractor can diagnose heavy metal poisoning without blood level testing, so most likely this is a gimmick to allow her to do some expensive treatment that will do you no good and possible harm. Chelation therapy is a known high priced option for medical "quackery" so be warned and steer clear! ...Read more

I need to know what kind of doctor i need to go to i had a very bad head ache about 2 weeks ago.. Ever since I have been dizzy.. I have 3 uncles in my family that have vertigo.. It is getting worse i'm worried about driving.. I do not have insurance.. So
There : There are 2 types of doctors that specialize in dizziness: an otolayngologist (ear, nose and throat doctor) and a neurologist (brain doctor). Unfortunately, which doctor to go to depends on what is causing your dizziness - and if you knew that, you wouldn't have to go, right? I would start with an otolaryngologist since the majority of vertigo problems have to do with the inner ear. They will examine you and may be able to perform in office testing (such as hearing tests) to rule out some of the more common causes. Just to warn you, though, if your vertigo/dizziness problem is complicated or if the cause is not obvious, either doctor may recommend imaging such as an MRI and that's not cheap. You may want to contact a social worker in your area to discuss insurance options in case this problem is not straight forward.
