My daughter talks through her nose and snores a lot. She always breathes through her mouth and talks through her nose. At night, she snores so loud that i can hear her over the tv. Do i need to take her in and what could be the cause?

Without : Without knowing her age ( i'm assuming she's a child) the most likely ( but not only) cause for her chronic mouth breathing and nasal obstruction would be enlarged adenoids which is lymphoid tissue situated in the back of the nasal cavity (nasopharynx). I would have her seen by an ENT who can specifically define the cause and offer corrective treatment. ...Read more

Anxiety and self-: consciousness about automatic bodily processes can temporarily interfere w/them. Please see your doc to rule out medical conditions. Yawning is similar to deep breathing in that both create a larger intake of oxygen. A clinical psychologist can help w/stress management. Peace and good health.
