I Take Zonegran And Paxil For Depression Can I Still Drink In Moderation
Five years ago, I was suffering from depression, and took Paroxetine for about half a year, then recovery.
A month ago, it seem to relapse, but is not serious. I have take Lumiday for two weeks, it is useful for me. Now I have a question.

Daily? No proof: Lumiday is a dietary supplement marketed in States for natural mood enhancement. However, unlike prescription & OTC medications, there is no requirement to prove safety & effectiveness prior to selling product. So your guess is as good as mine. Better yet, go see your Family Doc or whoever prescribed Paroxetine 5yrs ago. Ask for referral for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which is as good as drugs ...Read more
Drinking too much alcohol can lead to problems. However, drinking in moderation may offer some health benefits, especially for your heart. Up to one drink a day for women and two drinks a day for men may actually improve your health, but more than that can lead to serious problems. If you drink too much, set a daily or weekly limit for yourself. Avoid drinking when you're upset or alone. Limit the amount of alcohol you keep at home. Make a list of reasons not to drink. Cross tapering Paxil: With Prozac is a good choice but requires assessment, monitoring for return of symptoms for which paxil was prescribed, and adjustments based on side effects experienced during the cross taper. I accepted your request earlier today and we'll be happy to discuss this with you further. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I was put on Paxil for depression and anxiety, well its been about a week and not only am i still depressed, i feel like my anxiety has doubled! help.
Gad/depression well managed w/paxil for 2mos. The last week my symptoms have increased- need to take 1-2 ativan/day to cope. Advice/is this normal?
Add CBT: I would suggest finding a skilled cognitive behavioral therapist to assist with psychological portion along with your physician who manages medication. That way, you are working with a medical doctor to manage medications while having a therapist assist with cognitive restructuring, providing behavioral tools (such as worry exposure), and other techniques for coping. Good luck! ...Read more
Have gad/depression.Took Paxil 10mg for 1 week, 20mg for the last 2.5. I'm not sad, but i'm not happy, and still somewhat anxious- taking lorazepam prn. How do I know if the dose should be increased?
Only Time will tell: Treatment of anxiety disorders with ssris takes longer and higher doses for most people than does depression. While 20 mg is toward the low end for anxiety, best to let is just work for another 1.5 weeks; if no change in mood or anxiety, then dosage increase is reasonable. If there is improvement in either in 10 days, then sit tight and watch for another ten-14 days. Gentleness is the key. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Xanax was prescribed to me to use when needed? I take a antidepressant, paxil. Both were miracle drugs and solved about all depression/anxietyissues
Not sure of question: Depression/anxiety often go together.Several medications can be used as part of treatment of both problems. Paxil is a good choice for both problems. Xanax can be appropriate for short term use at low doses for anxiety. However it can easily create tolerance and dependence, so dosing amount and frequency is critical to know. Also, it is important to also use nondrug treatments to manage these issues. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
